Schoolp Chair, 2024

School Chair - Dictation Desk was presented during the 13th São Paulo Design Week in 2024. The artwork is the result of a partnership between artist Oksana Rudko and designer Ana Paula Tavares, creator of the studio “Todos Os Fogos”. The work is an intervention on an old school desk using digital manufacturing processes. Throughout the event, visitors could listen to a set of words dictated by a digital voice assistant, and could reproduce them on the new wooden top using an archaic writing process, carving. The project emphasizes the confrontation, the limits and the opportunities that open up between these two worlds, the technological and the traditional.
